Some things to note-
To make the activities the least expensive I would suggest the following:
1. Take students out before the lesson to find sticks (about 75 cm long) and rocks- Small, flat, jagged rocks work best. Alternatively getting long wooden smore sticks at the dollar store work great.
2. Use butcher twine or yarn (cheaper and easier to use)
3. Wrap the twine or yard into bundles of 14- 16 strings ahead of time - one bundle per student
4. Use 2 different coloured pieces of string or yarn to have students try the thigh rolling technique.
5. For prizes - you can get sticker sheets from walmart to make 48 round stickers - at Walmart- 72205 avery sticker package

This lesson will take a full day for grade 5-6's. You could spread it out to last a week or more depending on how in depth you go. I often spent only a little while on slides that I could have elaborated a lot more on. It also depends on the questions you get.
