What things would you change response journal
Respond to one or more of the following questions in a journal. Make sure your explain your reasons with support.
Topic choices
A. If you could change three things about Canadian history, what would you change and why? How would it make life better?
B. Who is the person from Canadian history that you would most like to meet and talk to? Why? What would you like to ask?
C. If you were prime minister of Canada what would you do to better the lives of indigenous peoples in Canada? Why? How would this make things better?

Whale rider appearance paragraph
- After watching the movie Whale Rider in class you have to make a list of 20 words/phrases that describe Paikea or Koro's appearance. Then you have to write a sentence for each of those words or phrases. After that you need to combine the sentences with others that talk about similar characteristics. Put your combined sentences into an order that makes sense. Create a topic sentence for the paragraph and then put your combined sentences down in the order that you chose. Finish with a conclusion sentence that restates the intent of your topic sentence. Edit your work for sentence structure and then pick at least 5 words/phrases that you could improve through use of better vocabulary. Then write a good copy.
